Interested in taking homebuyer education classes? Below is a full listing of all our classes currently available. You can either take a live class via Zoom at no cost to you or if you prefer you can take it via eHome at your own pace but this class has a cost of $75 when using coupon code HDF24.       Home Buyer Education Course 3/24/2026 & 3/26/2026 Live via Zoom (Spanish)

      Esta clase es gratuita en Español para personas que deseen comprar casa por primera vez en Connecticut. Esta clase le ayudara a entender el proceso de comprar una vivienda. Las personas que tomen la clase recibirán un certificado aprobado por CHFA, el Certificado es válido por 12 meses.

      Home Buyer Education Course 3/28/2026 Live via Zoom

      The Homebuyer Education class is open to First Time Homebuyers interested in learning more about the process of buying a home. These classes are mandatory if applying for an HDF and/or CHFA loan. The Homebuyer Education class must be completed prior to closing. HDF offers this class via Zoom at no cost, but if looking to take the class online via ehome, at your own pace and convenience, the class via ehome has a fee of $75 when using promo code HDF24

      Online Money Management Class (At your own pace)

      This Money Management class is designed to help you build skills in budgeting, saving, managing debt, and understanding credit. The course is offered online through eHome and can be completed at your own pace. After registering, you will have 5 months from the booking date to complete the course. The fee is $30. This course does not cover the homebuying process. If interested in purchasing a home should enroll in a Homebuyer Education class.

      Online eHome Home Buyer Education Class (At your own pace)

      This Homebuyer Education class is for first-time homebuyers purchasing a home in Connecticut or New York. The course is offered online through eHome and can be completed at your own pace. After registering, you will have 5 months from the booking date to complete the course. The fee is $76 with promo code HDF24. If you are interested in a free option, HDF also offers Homebuyer Education classes via Zoom.

      Esta clase es gratuita en Español para primeros compradores que deseen comprar una casa multifamiliar en Connecticut. Esta clase le ayudara a entender los derechos del inquilino y las responsabilidas del arrendador. Las personas que tomen la clase recibirán un certificado aprobado por CHFA, el Certificado es válido por 12 meses. Esta clase tiene una duracion de dos horas.
